"What's the first thing that comes to your mind when you think about water?" I asked. "A lake," she said. We both miss the good old days of compact discs — specifically the album cover art printed as physical copies. So we wondered: what could be printed as still images, yet move in some way? That led us to explore basic movements through barrier-grid animation. It is always fun to play with GIFs and fundamentals of illusion. Rewinding to the 2000's — it's a start.
